SQL Database Administrator – N.Raleigh (Permanent)

SUMMARY: This is a unique opportunity for an individual with prior experience seeking new challenges and broad database responsibility. The Database Administrator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the integration of software programs, business applications, data sources, and some of the data retrieval systems into the organization’s information systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for the design and implementation of multi-dimensional database models, data warehousing, and data transformations • Understands all data sources required for the organization’s core business • Ensures the cost-effective management of all data sources (including inventories) and data feeds to and from the organization • Administers all corporate databases, including ERP databases • Responsible for the 24x7x365 availability of mission-critical data • Responsible for the effective integration with other data streams • Ensures the integrity, availability, security, and performance of all corporate data, including traditional DBA responsibilities • Maintain and support the organization’s business intelligence application • Maintain and monitor database backups and rotating archives of backup files • Production database disaster recovery • Responsible for the strategic design and implementation of data warehouses, marts, and stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability • Defines data standards and models for warehouse architectures • Manages the creation and management of sound data management process • Standardizes data naming, establishes consistent data definitions, and monitors overall data quality • Some travel required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist and Lead in start-up of supply chain information solutions

The Senior Application Infrastructure Architect role is to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support stable, cost-effective technology solutions.  Responsibilities include estimating total cost, managing deliverables of cross-functional team-members, delivering stable IT solutions, troubleshooting application infrastructure issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Identify, recommend and design application architecture solutions including recommendations for the application configuration layer, database and operating system.

Position Purpose:

Directs the corporate information systems programs and telephony at our client site.  Epicor experience is a must have for this opportunity.

Nature & Scope

Designs, develops and implements comprehensive computer based information systems and telephony solutions to ensure users needs are met and data is processed according to company specifications and requirements. 

 

Defines user information requirements by conferring with users and analyzing functions.  Recommends and develops computer-based business solutions.  Plans system applications and assigns staff to develop, test and complete programs.  Evaluates effectiveness of programs and offers solutions to enhance effectiveness.

 

Prepares and maintains technical specifications and related documentation to secure procedures and prevent systems failure.  Responsible for company’s technology disaster recovery plan.

Improves existing software programs and develops new applications to meet future business needs.  Ensures that hardware and software is maintained and secured with proper back-ups and training.

Education and Experience Required

BS/BA in computer science or equivalent; Minimum

 

10 years of progressively more responsible experience in information systems department management in a medium to large size firm with a minimum of 3 years of Epicor management experience.  Solid technical information of AS 400, networks, digital and satellite technology, telephony and PC based applications.

 

Proven project management, problem solving, and broad management expertise, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.  Solid writing skills.

IT Project Manager (2) – RTP, NC (4 month contracts)

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

This position will support multiple business units across the standard functions involved in the development and delivery of projects: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Closure.  This position will be involved with a variety of operational activities in support of the above, but also should have experience in process improvement, business change management and training.

 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Act as a liaison between business and information systems staff in resolving IT-related problems
  2. Work closely with quality assurance, regulatory affairs, engineering standard committees, vendors or clients as appropriate.
  3. Chair various project review and pre-submittal meetings commensurate with experience.
  4. Establish project objectives and milestones within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  5. Participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling, implementation and financial analysis in accordance with corporate or business unit procedures.
  6. Work with team leads and/or functional department heads to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with project development and delivery into production on time and budget.

  30. Assist in the Management of the PMO team.
  31. Capable of independently managing a project or program with a project cost up to $10 million, duration of up to 2 years and staff up to 30 people. 

 KNOWLEDGE/SKILL:

  1. BA/BS Degree plus at least 15 yrs work experience or Masters Degree plus 12 years experience.
  2. Including at least 8 years Project Management and 3 years process and/or analyst experience.
  3. Experience working in a regulated work environment, preferably FDA related.
  4. Experience in work environments outside IT.
  5. Technical and administrative aspects of all phases of project management.
  6. Experience building teams.

IT Support Manager – Raleigh, NC (Permanent)

Position Summary:

The IT Support Manager supervises Tier 3 (System Admins), who addresses all support and maintenance of back-end technology in the company’s data center and disaster recovery location.   Along with IT top management, the IT Infrastructure Manager develops effective procedures for maximizing infrastructure performance, uptime, and data consistency.  The IT Infrastructure Manager is a member of the IT Project Team, which leads the implementation of new IT initiatives in the organization. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Lead and manage System Administrators, including responsibility for maintenance, backups, disaster recovery, security, and uptime.
  • Along with VP of Information Technology, act as collaborator/executor in network and server architecture/design
  • Develop and enforce associated policies.
  • Periodically conduct trending/analysis and quality management of IT Network and Server Infrastructure.
  • Serve as POC, SME, and/or implementer on various IT projects
  • Assists VP of Information Technology in IT related purchasing and budget usage.

  • Approves Tier 3 timesheets, expense reports, and PTO.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 5 – 7 years of experience in a Microsoft based support and server environment serving 200+ employees in multiple locations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field strongly preferred.  In lieu of degree, equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience maintaining server and networking infrastructure for a Microsoft based server environment
  • Experience maintaining databases, including administration and querying.
  • Experience with Server Virtualization and SAN technologies.

ETL Programmer – Raleigh, NC (Permanent)

POSITION SUMMARY This position will write ETL and SQL code, provide advice on data structures, and provide needed technical assistance to support front end interfaces.
